According to the legends held sacred by the Stars of Ixohtl, when the suns align in the sky, the Stars of Ixohtl are granted the power of the universe to do with as they will. This alignment of the suns, which happens roughly every one-thousand years, has led to dramatic events in the history of the Stars. Mostly, it has been a call to conquest and war as this period is seen as a point in which all of the Stars should put down their differences and combine the tribes to form a roaming horde of horse-backed warriors.
This event also supposedly signifies the birth of a new Star. Stars are the powerful leaders of the Ixohtl, and the birth of a new star signifies a time of expansion.
